In May 2011 when four friends were walking in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP)  they found a dead deer. When they enquired and found out that the death was caused due to the deer ingesting a lot of plastic, they started a mission of  making SGNP plastic free by daily cleaning up and setting up of bins for disposal of the plastic. Many more citizens joined in and was a great success.

This movement was the seed from where RiverMarch germinated
