In 2016 a massive clean up drive was done under the leadership of Dr. Rajendra Singh in Dahisar river.  School children, college students, common citizens from all strata of lives joined together and cleaned the Dahisar river near Dhobi Ghat.  Large amounts of detergent packets, plastic, broken furniture, idols of Gods and Goddess were removed from the river bed
