In February 2017 River March volunteers under the leadership of Mr.Rajendra Singh held a protest against MCGM for the concretization work of the river bed being done by them on Poisar river.  Letters were sent to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, The MCGM Commissioner Mr.Ajoy Mehta, The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board requesting them to take action against the concretization of river bed.
