Dr. Rajendra Singhji is an Indian water conservationist and environmentalist from Alwar district, Rajasthan in India. Also known as "waterman of India", he won the Magsaysay Award in 2001 and Stockholm Water Prize in 2015. He runs an NGO called 'Tarun Bharat Sangh' (TBS), which was founded in 1975.
Right from the beginning of 2015, Dr. Singh has been a mentor, guide and leader for the River March movement. He has very frequently been associated with the activities of RiverMarch and was the main speaker of our event RIVERSE held at Mahim in January 2016.
He had supported and participated in the Dahisar river clean up drives. He was in forefront in our Satyagraha at Poinsur river against the concretization of Poinsur river. He has from time to time taken keen interest in our activities and given us the right advice and support.
