On October 2nd 2019, River Marchers along with school and college children gathered at the gate of SNGP greeting all the visitors to the Park holding banners and placards on saving rivers and saying NO to Plastics, saving the environment. The children lined up along the road inside the Park. Few school children along with Mr. Jagdish Nadar, a River Marchers were dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. The message of saving the environment was conveyed to the visitors of the Park.
Afterwards a Nature trail was organized for the children where all the rare trees, insects and birds were pointed out. We all gathered at Gandhi Smarak at the top of the hill in the Park where a number of teachings of Gandhiji were shared .
Later on, a few River Marchers visited the Gandhi Memorial Museum at Kora Kendra, Borivali West and paid homage to the Father of the Nation. We sang bhajans, remembered the great leader and refreshed our memories of his journey of fighting for the independence of India .
